Shipping on these can be very expensive but I found Northen Tool rates to be reasonable. Dont expect to receive this overnight. I did have an issue opening the safe and had to call Stack On customer support. They were awesome. Walked me thru some possible issues and when I got the safe opened and realized that a locking plate was loose [tightened], the safe worked perfect. Stack On did offer to have a local locksmith come out 'free of charge' to repair the unit. Not required. Stack On went out of their way to ensure I was happy with the purchase. For my troubles, they sent a 'for your trouble' check. Very Nice. The unit definitely meets my standards. Stack On customer service was way above and beyond what I would have expected.

For the price, this is a great deal! No Tax or shipping TOO! 9 TOTAL DELIVERED! This safe is not going to deter a professional thief with a crow bar but you're not spending K. That's what insurance is for. The safe is 182 lbs, my son & I carried it up 3 flights of stairs to put it in my bedroom closet. PERFECT!

The inside space is nicely carpeted with 16 gun racks screwed on the sides & rear. It is not cluttered with shelves which is what I wanted. I need the space exclusively for my rifles. There is 1 shelf that is approx. 6" x 21" @ 6" from the top of the safe. Not much, but enough for my needs.

I would highly recommend this safe if used within the parameters I have mentioned. It is a very nice looking safe & the combo lock is very solid & easy to use.

This is a low-end safe but it meets my needs and it's what I could afford at the time I bought it. It's not fire or water resistant and the quality isn't top notch but it's better than a gun locker. It has a carpeted interior and some weight to it. It's called a 10 gun safe but I'm actually only able to fit 9 long-guns in it. There is a top shelf in the safe where I can store approximately 5 handguns. The safe is fairly heavy and you'll definitely need to bolt it to the wall. This is necessary not only for security reasons but for safety. If you don't bolt it, the door of the safe which is the heaviest part, could make the entire safe fall over when it's opened. The combination dial is your standard 3 number rotating dial. The finish of the combo knob is a little sub-par but it's smooth and easy to use. However, I had to add white paint to the engraved numbers to make them more visible in the low light of my closet. This is not a bad safe, especially for the money, but I regret not spending more money and getting something a little larger and nicer.

I'm really glad I got this safe for a portion of my firearms. While it seems geared more toward semi-autos it still makes me feel safer when I leave the apartment. Though, the straight and curved bolt designs of older rifles make it a little hard to fill the safe to capacity; right now I have 7 rifles on the bottom and, because of the designs I could probably only fit in one other comfortably, however, the shelf and door rack fits my pistols and extra mags nicely. The slight design of the safe itself makes it easy to fit in a closet and it's hefty enough loaded that no-one is just going to carry it off, I think someone would have to be VERY detirmined to get it open.

I shopped around for a safe for a few months before checking out amazon. I was originally set on the smaller 26 gun safe but decided Id rather not have to get another later down the road if I could avoid it. The safe has wall bolting options which werent in the description. Padded floor, good quality feeling keypad, a gigantic trouble key, solid locking, and nice finish. The only two problems I have with it are the gun rests are about 6-8 inches too tall for an ar-15 or ak47 and the cheap door hinge caps(one broke while moving). That said its less expensive then others(free ship and no tax help a lot) and just as nice.

But the manufacturer (not Sportsman's Guide) packages it very poorly. it has no styrofoam to protect it, jsut a box is just fitted to the cabinet. I received the first, returned it, then the second, returned it for a refund. The first one was bent in the middle, the second had all four corners bent up. No protective packaging at all.

However, Sportsman's Guide is terrific to work with. Friendly, understanding, and no hassle. The turnaround time is great also. I'll purchase from them again with no hesitation. the Stack-on cabinet is a good product also. I ended up buying the same stack-on cabinet from a local retailer. Since it didn't have to be shipped, their edition was the same cabinet welded together and ready for use. The one from Sportsman requires assembly since it is shipped to the customer.

the cabinet is stable and strong. It isn't a high security cabinet, it's made of light-weight steel. But it is roomy, has a shelf, and it provides a safe place to lock up the firearms. I am very satisfied with Stack-On, and especially satisfied with Sportsman's Guide.

Just as advertised. This is a heavy duty steel cabinet that locks securely at 3 points and can be lag-screwed to the wall joist and floor with bolts provided. Came pretty well protected and I am very satisfied with it. Yes, someone could probably break it open with a crow bar, and yes they could also use the same to tear it from the wall and floor, but short of that kind of attack, it will hold your stuff securely.

This safe is excellent value for the price. It's not a fire safe like it's larger and more expensive brethren but it does the job. It appears sturdy and feels more secure than a gun cabinet. It says it's for 10 guns but closing the door would be trouble if you were using all of the gun holders. I would only put 6-8 max in here, but for most people buying a safe at this price that should be sufficient. I bought this because I live in an apartment and I need something that can be carried by two people (empty). Shipping was easy, with yellow dock delivering to my door, just be aware they will not carry it up stairs so you need to have someone with you when it arrives to carry it if you live above ground floor.

This Item was ordered as a Christmas gift, It arrived prior to and looked fine, (in the box)... Soon after opening the box, I noticed two dents... No worries, it's going be placed inside a cabinet. But pursued and recieved a damage discount...

Inside the item were two 4 seat barrel rests with 2 single rest points on the short sides. One 4 place rest was lying inside on the floor. It took 3 tries to get the correct parts to repair and these don't look like they will mount up correctly, necessitating a drill thru situation to fix the problem. However the keypad lock works great... the #4 key fell out while trying to move it into position !

I realize that I didn't spend 00 on this unit but shipping it back isn't an option at 8 to get rid of this unit guess I'm stuck with it !!!!
